Durgesh Khanapurkar is a Partner at Desai & Diwanji’s Mumbai office.  

Durgesh has developed a broad-ranging practice with particular focus on commercial and banking litigation, arbitration (both ad-hoc and institutional), insolvency and bankruptcy as well as white-collar crimes. He has, over the years, advised domestic and international clients on complex multi-party disputes, disputes relating to oppression and mismanagement, restructuring and insolvency, white-collar crimes, arbitrations involving complex set of facts, schemes of mergers, amalgamations and demergers, writs as well as intellectual property disputes. He represents clients through the entire course of the matter – from advising on the strategy until enforcement of the decree/award.

He regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, Bombay High Court and various other High Courts across the country, NCLT, NCLAT, Securities Appellate Tribunal SAT as well as arbitral tribunals.

His clients include EPC companies, construction companies, large domestic companies, multinational corporations, banks, financial institutions and HNIs.

He has particular interest and experience in advising clients on pre-litigation strategies in high-stakes matters and clients value his practical solutions.
