Shree Sinha is a Senior Partner at Desai & Diwanji’s Mumbai office and has been a lawyer with the firm since 1998, except for a few years when he was based in the United States as the global head of the South Asia practice for a white-shoe firm.

Shree’s practice encompasses a broad range of corporate commercial work that is focused on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, private equity investments, venture capital and early-stage enterprise funding, financings as well as general corporate advisory. He works extensively in the policy space, and has advised regulators as well as stock exchanges in the formulation of securities regulations. Shree regularly helps senior management deal with complex regulatory matters, ESG-related issues and in developing best practices to mitigate risk.

He has advised several marquee clients, including governments, regulators, multilateral organisations, sovereign wealth funds, four of the ten largest global private equity firms, venture capital funds, financial institutions, multinational companies as well as Indian business houses, and works with start-ups as well.

Shree is also the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Shoshit Seva Sangh, a non-profit charitable organisation registered as a trust that works with the marginalised Musahar community across every district of Bihar to bring about transformative change through quality education.
