Maitri Desai is an Associate Partner at Desai & Diwanji’s Mumbai office.

Maitri has extensive experience in diverse practice areas including corporate and commercial law, law of contracts, securities law, private equity investments, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, advice on Indian legal and regulatory framework (RBI, SEBI, FEMA, FIFP), capital market transactions (domestic and international offerings), employment laws, public charitable trust law and IPR.

Her international experience includes handling US cross-border acquisitions, US healthcare/ privacy laws compliance, liability insurance management, debt restructuring and Islamic finance.

Her practice spans across the BFSI space, NBFCs, IT/ ITES, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and healthcare sectors. She possesses a strong exposure to both corporate and commercial environments and advocates the importance of professional ethics and upholding the rule of law.
